Return Policy

Return Policy

Darkbit supports secure e-commerce and provides detailed product descriptions to help you benefit from a direct and informative buying experience through your screen. Below you will find the terms and conditions for returning defective or non-defective products.

Returns Due to Incorrect Delivery

If you receive products different from those ordered (in type or quantity), or if a specific feature explicitly agreed upon in writing is missing, you may return the products for inspection. In this case, return and reshipping costs are fully covered by Darkbit — as long as you follow the company’s suggested return method.

Returns of Defective Products

If a product is found to have a manufacturing defect — as certified by the authorized repair service or Darkbit itself — the following terms apply:

  • The warranty is valid for a limited time as specified in the product details. After this period, repair or replacement may require an extra charge upon agreement with the customer.
  • Product returns must include all original documents (e.g. receipt, delivery note) and complete packaging. If the defect appears later and packaging is missing, or was collected by the courier, it’s not required.
  • Returns may be handled either by Darkbit’s personnel or via courier. If courier is used, customer pays for the return, and Darkbit covers shipping for the repaired/replaced item.
  • Once returned, the product will be inspected and Darkbit will contact the customer with the outcome.
  • If a defect is confirmed, the product will be repaired or replaced. If repair is not feasible, and a suitable replacement is unavailable, the transaction will be cancelled and a full refund will be issued via the original payment method.
  • In case of credit card payments, Darkbit will inform the issuing bank to cancel the transaction. The bank will handle the reversal according to their agreement with the customer. For bank transfers, refunds will be issued via reverse transfer.
  • If a product is returned damaged or incomplete, Darkbit may seek compensation based on its condition, and may offset this against the refund amount.
  • For accessories or consumables, only the faulty component will be replaced — not the entire product. These parts usually have limited warranty coverage.

Returns of DOA (Dead on Arrival) Products

Products found to be defective upon delivery (DOA) can be returned within seven (7) calendar days from receipt. The product must not be damaged and must include all original documents (e.g. retail receipt, delivery note) and full packaging.

  • The product is received and inspected for the reported defect.
  • If confirmed defective, it will be replaced with a new, identical item. If unavailable, a product of similar value and quality will be offered. If replacement is declined by the customer, a full refund will be issued.
  • Refunds follow the original payment method. In credit card cases, Darkbit informs the issuing bank. In bank transfer cases, a reverse transfer will be issued.
  • Returns are free via BoxNow or TAS Courier (for bulky items). If another courier is chosen, shipping costs are borne by the customer.
  • If returned damaged or incomplete, Darkbit reserves the right to request compensation based on product condition and deduct this from the refund.

Returns of Non-Defective Products — Right of Withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 calendar days of contract conclusion (for services) or delivery (for products). For multi-product orders, the 14 days begin after the final item is delivered.

  • No justification or penalty is required. Products must be returned in the same condition, with all accessories, documentation, and intact packaging.
  • Withdrawal is accepted only if the customer has covered both the initial delivery and the return shipping costs.
  • The declaration of withdrawal can be submitted via email at aftersales@darkbit.gr, and Darkbit will confirm receipt.
  • Returned products must arrive within 14 days of the withdrawal notice.
  • Refunds will be issued within 14 days of receipt of the returned goods.
  • Shipping costs are not refunded if the customer selected a premium delivery method instead of Darkbit’s standard delivery option.
  • Refunds are issued via the original payment method. For credit cards, Darkbit will notify the bank; Darkbit is not responsible for processing time. Bank transfers are refunded via reverse transfer.
  • If the product was used beyond testing its nature or functionality (e.g. opened packaging or operation), its value may be reduced by 20–30% as it’s considered used. This amount may be offset from the refund.
  • For service-related withdrawals, the customer must pay for the portion of services rendered until cancellation.

Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal

Withdrawal is not permitted in the following cases:

  • Services fully rendered with prior customer consent and acknowledgment that withdrawal rights are forfeited after full service execution.
  • Emergency repairs or maintenance requested by the consumer. If additional goods or services are provided beyond the original request, those extras remain eligible for withdrawal.
  • Sealed audio, video, or software products unsealed after delivery.
  • Custom or personalized goods made to the consumer’s specifications.

Withdrawal Form

Withdrawal can be declared via letter or email. It must include: the document number and date, product name, and the customer’s contact details.

Product Safety & Warranty Terms

Darkbit offers long-lasting, certified products. Each product is accompanied by written usage instructions and a Greek-language warranty of reasonable duration, which includes:

  • The name/address of the guarantor
  • The exact product covered
  • Warranty coverage and duration
  • Legal rights and geographic scope

Warranty begins from purchase date and includes free repair — provided that:

  • The warranty card and purchase receipt are presented
  • The device’s serial number is intact
  • The issue is not excluded by manufacturer terms

Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)

In accordance with EU Directive 2013/11/EU (as implemented by Greek law 70330/2015), consumers may use online dispute resolution (ODR) for cross-border transactions. If you are a consumer (not a business), and have an issue with an online order, you may file a complaint via the EU ODR platform at:
